Poteet Park
Poteet Park is a popular destination in the town and is perfect for picnics. The park has plenty of tables and benches for visitors to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The park features a playground and basketball court, making it a great spot for families to spend an afternoon.
Bridge Park
Bridge Park is a popular spot in Sylva, NC that offers visitors plenty of outdoor activities and entertainment options. The park features a small walking bridge that connects it to Poteet Park, which provides even more green space for visitors to explore. Bridge Park is also a great spot for picnics and relaxation. The park has several benches and picnic tables where visitors can enjoy a meal while taking in the beautiful scenery.
One of the park’s highlights is the Concerts on the Creek series that takes place at the gazebo every Friday evening from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Produced in partnership with the Town of Sylva, Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department, and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, this series offers live music and a great sense of community.
Bryson Park
Bryson Park is a popular destination in the town and features a pavilion with restrooms, basketball court, horseshoe pits, playground, and picnic tables. The park is a great spot for families and groups to gather and enjoy outdoor activities.
Pinnacle Park
For those who enjoy hiking, Pinnacle Park is a must-visit destination. The park boasts over 7 miles of well-marked trails that wind through dense forests, over creeks and streams, and up to the stunning summit of Pinnacle Mountain. The trails are challenging, ranging in difficulty from easy to strenuous, and are suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

New Skate Park
Sylva Pipes, the newest skate park in town, is conveniently located behind Motion Makers Bicycle Shop at 36 Allen St. The park features a single half pipe as its main attraction. This simple yet functional structure provides skateboarders in Sylva, NC, with an opportunity to practice their skills and enjoy the thrill of riding transitions. While the park may have limited amenities, the well-built half pipe offers a reliable and safe environment for skaters of varying levels of experience.
