What is required when opening a new business inside Town limits?

When opening a new business, you need to come by Town Hall and apply for a business registration permit.  This requires two forms be completed:  Business Registration Application and Occupancy Inspection Form.  A fee of $120 is due upon submitting the forms.  In includes $20 for the registration permit (renewable annually) and $100 for the occupancy inspection.  These forms can also be filled out online from the Town Applications page. The application is sent to the Jackson County Fire Marshal and zoning office for inspection.  Once our office receives approval from these inspections, we can issue a business registration permit for the new business.
